Douglas B. Carter, M.D.
Dr. Carter received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Colorado in 1983 and became a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He completed his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in 1987. He became a member of the International Association of Ocular Surgeons in 1989. Dr. Carter has been practicing in Greeley since 1987 and was Chief of Medical Staff of North Colorado Medical Center from 1999-2000. Dr. Carter provides patients with specialty service including macular degeneration, diabetic and glaucoma evaluations and treatments, as well as yearly eye examinations. He performs cataract surgery, cosmetic and functional eyelid surgery, corneal transplants and glaucoma surgery. In addition, Dr. Carter performs injections for macular degeneration and diabetic macular edema. Dr. Carter is married to Sue Carter, M.D. and has four children.
Dr. Weeks received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Nebraska in 1977. He interned at the Health Care Services Agency of Alameda County from 1977-1978. He completed his residency in ophthalmology with the US Army Medical Department/Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 1981. In 1982, Dr. Weeks was certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmologists. Dr. Weeks has been practicing in Greeley since 1983. He provides routine eye exams, pediatric eye exams, as well as treating patients with cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration and dermatochalasis. He performs cataract, glaucoma, oculoplastic and pediatric surgery. Dr. Weeks enjoys working with children and does volunteer surgery in Guatemala.
Dr. Weeks is married to Christy, has three children and seven grandchildren. In his spare time he enjoys flyfishing and spending time with his family.
